Orange Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. dates or raisins
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts
grated rind of 2 oranges
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. grated rind

Preparation

Sweeten juice and pour slowly over cake after it is baked and still hot.
