Cherry Fudge Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. chocolate pudding and pie filling
    1 pkg. any flavor cake mix
    1 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large saucepan, cook pudding as directed on the package.
    Blend cake mix (dry) thoroughly into hot pudding, by hand or with electric mixer, for 1 to 2 minutes.
    Add cherries.
    Pour into greased and floured jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch.
    Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate pieces.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cool and cut into bars.
    Makes 40.
