Patriotic Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. oleo
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.
    Cut in butter with a pastry blender.
    Add egg and milk.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 7 minutes.
