Harriet'S Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 peaches, peeled and sliced
1 c. sugar
butter
1 egg
1 c. white sugar
1 c. flour
1 rounded tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Put the sliced peaches in baking dish. Cover with 1 cup sugar. Dot with butter and put in a 375\u00b0 oven until the batter is prepared.
Sift dry ingredients. Beat egg and add hot water, then dry mixture and vanilla.
Take peaches from oven, cover with batter and bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat and bake for 30 minutes. Serve with cream or hard sauce.
It is very good with apples, too.
