Deep Dish Cheddar Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/4 c. flour
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. sage
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk
    4 c. chopped, cooked chicken
    2 c. (8 oz.) Cheddar cheese
    10 oz. frozen broccoli, chopped, cooked and drained
    1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk.
    Cook until thickened.
    Add chicken, cheese and broccoli.
    Pour into an 11 x 7-inch baking dish.
    Separate dough into 1 large and 2 small rectangles.
    Press perforations together.
    Cut into 12 strips and place on casserole in lattice form.
    Brush with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
