No Ka Oi Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    5 Tbsp. sour milk
    1 c. chopped Macadamia nuts
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening and egg.
    Add mashed bananas.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix together soda and sour milk (it will foam up).
    Add to banana mixture.
    Add nuts and dry ingredients until blended.
    Put in greased and floured pans.
    Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves or 4 soup cans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 55 minutes for large loaf, 30 to 35 minutes for small loaves.
