Creamy Frozen Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. drained diced canned pears
    3/4 c. drained pineapple tidbits
    3/4 c. syrup, drained from fruit
    1/2 c. drained maraschino cherries, chopped
    2 c. mashed medium ripe bananas
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt and flour in saucepan.
    Add fruit syrup, egg and vinegar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
    Cool.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Chill evaporated milk in freezer until soft ice crystals form, 10 to 15 minutes.
    Whip until stiff, about 1 minute.
    Add lemon juice.
    Whip 1 more minute (until very stiff).
    Fold into fruit mixture.
    Spoon into lightly greased 6 1/2-cup mold.
    Freeze firm, 5 to 6 hours.
    Makes 12 servings.
