Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (5 oz.) maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. cherry juice (add water to make 1/2 c.)
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat and add eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with cherry juice to batter.
    Add cherries, nuts and vanilla.
    Pour into 9 x 5-inch greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
