Baked Macaroni And Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. macaroni cheese dinner
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 slices (4 oz.) sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook macaroni following package directions; drain and reserve for later use.
    In large skillet, saute onion in margarine just until tender.
    Add tomatoes, parsley flakes, salt and pepper; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in contents of cheese packet.
    Heat slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture is thoroughly blended.
    Gently stir in reserved macaroni.
    Pour into greased, shallow 2-quart baking dish.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes; remove from oven.
    Top with cheese slices.
    Return casserole to oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
    Serve immediately.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
