Nanny'S Ripe Tomato Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped ripe tomatoes
    1 gal. chopped cabbage
    1/2 doz. bell peppers (red), chopped
    1 qt. chopped onions
    1/2 doz. red peppers (hot), chopped
    1 c. salt
    2 qt. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    2 tsp. ground mustard
    2 tsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Add salt to chopped vegetables.
    Mix and let drain 2 hours. Boil remaining ingredients.
    Add chopped ingredients.
    Cook until thick.
    Put in sterile jars and seal.
