Lowfat Spanish Rice With Smoked Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. fat free chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. chopped low fat smoked sausage
    1 (7 oz.) box instant rice
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Combine the bell pepper, onion, and broth.
    Cook until peppers and onions are tender.
    Add sausage, rice, tomato sauce, water, salt, and black pepper.
    Cover and cook over low heat for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Taste and adjust seasoning, if needed.
    Makes 6 generous servings. with about 1 gram of fat per serving.
