Cherry Bar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Spread 2/3 batter in lightly greased 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Spread 1 large can cherry pie filling on top.
    Drop remaining batter by teaspoons or pipe with cake decorator on top of pie filling. (Filling will not be covered).
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
