Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
melted sweet chocolate
pistachio nuts
Preparation

Mix sugar, butter, egg and flavoring well, stirring together; blend dry ingredients into shortening mixture.
Chill one hour. Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on floured board; cut small stars.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 6 to 8 minutes or lightly browned.
Cool.
Put two cookies together with melted sweet chocolate.
Add dab of chocolate and sprinkle of chopped pistachio nuts on top.
