Ware Neck Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, capped and halved
    sugar to taste
    pie crust, rolled on cookie sheet and cooked
Preparation
    Sprinkle desired amount of sugar over strawberries and mash with a potato masher.
    Cook sheet of pie crust and butter crust. When hot from the oven, cut into squares, about 3 or 4 inches. Alternate pie crust, then strawberries, then crust, ending with strawberries.
    You may garnish with any whipped topping or vanilla ice cream.
    You can use boxed Jiffy pie crust mix or the All-Ready pie crusts.
    Just unfold, bake and butter.
    Yields about 4 to 6 servings.
