Dillon'S Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. Granny Smith apples
    1/4 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. dark brown sugar
    1/3 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 cinnamon stick
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Peel and core apples; cut into thin slices.
    In a heavy saucepan, bring apples, sugar, cinnamon, cinnamon stick and butter to a boil.
    Cook over high heat 5 minutes until sugars dissolve. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender.
    Remove cinnamon stick.
