Ingredients

1 large egg
2 tsp. oil
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch or flour
Preparation

Beat egg slightly.
Add sugar until thick and ivory colored. Add 2 teaspoons of water.
Gradually add in cornstarch and stir until smooth.
Drop teaspoonfuls of batter 4-inches in diameter into frying pan with oil.
(Should look like mini pancakes.)
Fry until golden brown.
Remove cookie.
Place fortune on top of cookie. Fold in half, then bend edges.
