Ingredients

1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. Sourdough Starter
1 1/2 c. warm water
6 c. bread flour
Preparation

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients into a stiff dough. Grease both sides of dough with oil. Cover lightly with foil and allow to stand all day. That night, punch down. Knead 3 or 4 times and divide into 3 loaves.
Lightly knead each loaf 1 to 3 times on a floured surface. Put into greased loaf pans and let rise overnight, covered lightly in oven. The next morning, bake on bottom rack of a 350\u00b0 oven. Remove and brush with butter, if desired.
