Ingredients

2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
2 c. milk chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
powdered sugar
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light.
Gradually add flour, then stir in chips and nuts (if desired).
Roll well rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes.
Cookies will be pale.
Let stand for 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.
