Fig And Almond Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. dried figs
    1 c. sugar (white)
    1 c. water
    1 c. almonds
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 sticks butter or oleo
    3 eggs
    2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Combine figs, sugar and water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Lower heat. Cook uncovered 10 minutes until thick.
    Remove.
    Stir in almonds. Cool.
    Stir together flour, salt and baking soda in large bowl to mix well.
    Set aside.
