Orange-Sugared Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    grated rind of 1 orange (or chop in blender)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. orange juice
    pinch of salt
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar and water in heavy pan.
    Cook without stirring to soft ball stage; remove from heat.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Stir in orange rind, orange juice and salt.
    Add pecans; stir until sugar begins to crystallize.
    Turn out onto cold baking sheets. Separate nuts, using two forks.
    Let harden.
