Kid Pleasing Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/8 to 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. softened margarine or shortening
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in bowl.
Add egg, milk and margarine. Beat with eggbeater until nearly smooth.
Do not overbeat.
Bake in 8-inch square greased pan in 425\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
