Pork Chops Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. celery, chopped fine
    1/2 envelope (1/4 c.) dry onion soup mix
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. dry parsley flakes
    1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
    paprika
    salt and pepper to season
Preparation
    Sprinkle pork chops with salt, pepper and paprika.
    Put oil in skillet.
    Heat and brown chops.
    Drain off any excess oil.
    Add 1 cup of water, celery and onion soup mix.
    Cover and cook on low heat for 40 minutes or until chops are tender.
    Remove chops from pan.
    Combine flour, parsley and 1/4 cup water.
    Blend in pan juices.
    Add milk and mushrooms.
    Cook over low heat until thick and bubbly.
    Return chops to sauce.
    Let stand for a few minutes. Serves 6. Serve with mashed potatoes and spoon extra sauce over potatoes.
