Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
    6 Tbsp. cream of tartar
    1 drop red, green or yellow food coloring
Preparation
    Combine ingredients together in top of double boiler.
    Cook over hot boiling water for 2 or 3 minutes.
    Drop by teaspoon on wax paper.
    Let cool.
