Hobnail Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add egg and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients.
    Stir them in, a little at a time, and beat well.
    Fold in raisins.
    Form into small balls.
    Place on greased cookie sheet 3 inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Do not overcook.
    Check bottoms.
