Mother'S "Corn Likker" Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. pure corn whiskey
    3 c. flour
    1 lb. mixed nuts
    1 lb. candied pineapple
    1 fresh coconut, grated
    1 pt. watermelon rind preserves or citron
    2 c. sugar
    6 egg whites
    6 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. almonds
    1 lb. candied cherries
    2 lb. white raisins
    white wine
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually, and continue creaming until light and fluffy.
    Add unbeaten egg whites, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift flour and baking powder together. Alternately add flour and corn whiskey.
    Blend well.
