Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/3 lb. butter
    1 large can Carnation milk
Preparation
    Put 4 tablespoons sugar in deep, heavy pot and brown.
    Add butter and stir continually until sugar dissolves.
    Set off of heat.
    Add rest of sugar and cream.
    Put back on stove and cook until it piles up (about 240\u00b0).
    Cool and frost cake.
