Elsie'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (1/4 lb.) sticks butter, at room temperature (1 1/2 c.)
    1 lb. box confectioners sugar
    6 large eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Preparation
    In the large bowl of an electric mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    At medium speed beat in eggs, one at a time for 1 minute after each addition.
    Beat in flour in 4 additions until blended each time.
    Beat in vanilla and lemon juice.
    Turn into a greased and floured 10-inch angel cake pan.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 1 hour.
    Cool cake in pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
