* Chili Rarebit * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1/2 finely chopped onion
    2 (1 lb. each) cans pork and beans with tomato sauce
    1 c. cubed sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. chili sauce
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Fry bacon in skillet over medium flame until crisp.
    Remove, drain and crumble.
    Pour all but 2 tablespoons of drippings from skillet.
    Add onion and saute about 5 minutes.
    Stir in remaining ingredients and heat, stirring occasionally, until cheese melts. Serve over toast or toasted English muffins.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
