Cherry Nut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1 large can sour pitted cherries, undrained
    1 large can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 large pkg. raspberry jello
    1 can Pepsi
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bring sugar and water to a boil in large pan.
    Add cherries and juice.
    Bring back to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Add jello. Stir to dissolve.
    Add pineapple and juice.
    Stir in Pepsi and nuts.
    Put in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Top with Cool Whip when set.
