Marinated Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (28 oz.) can pear halves
    1 cinnamon stick
    6 whole allspice
    4 peppercorns
Preparation
    Drain pears reserving 1 cup of the syrup.
    Combine syrup, cinnamon stick, allspice and peppercorns.
    Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Pour over pears.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
