Sweet And Sour Meat Balls - cooking recipe

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tsp. minced onion
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Heinz chili sauce
2/3 c. currant or grape jelly
Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients.
Form meat mixture into about 40 meat balls, using a rounded teaspoon for each.
Brown meat balls lightly in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
Cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
Drain excess fat.
Combine chili sauce and jelly.
Pour over meat balls.
Heat, stirring until jelly is melted.
Simmer 10 to 12 minutes until sauce thickens; baste occasionally.
Makes around 40 meat balls.
