Chocolate Chip Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 egg whites
    2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar well.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat the egg whites until stiff, adding 2 tablespoons of sugar and chocolate chips.
    Combine all ingredients together.
    Spread in a pan, 9 x 9-inch, and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Let it cool off before icing, if desired.
