Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c white syrup
    2 1/2 c sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 c water
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 c nuts or fruit
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine syrup, sugar, salt and water.
    Cook stirring constantly till sugar is dissolved.
    Continue cooking till ball forms when dropped into cool water.
    Beat egg whites till stiff-pour 1/2 of syrup into egg whites and beat.
    Cook remaining syrup to thread forms in cool water.
    Add to first mix and beat till hold shape.
    Add nuts and vanilla. Drop by spoonsful onto wax paper.
    Let cool and dry-turn candies over and dry on other side. Store in air tight container in dry place.
