Chicken With Purple Plum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can whole purple plums
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/3 c. sliced scallions (green onions or spring onions)
    1 (3 to 4 lb.) chicken, cut up or same amount of chicken parts
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Begin early afternoon or previous evening!
    Drain purple plums and save syrup.
    Chop enough plums to make 1/2 cup.
    Pit and halve the remaining plums.
    Combine chopped plums, 1 cup of the syrup, soy sauce and scallions.
    Stir in chicken.
    Place in large, glass bowl and cover.
    Marinate in refrigerator at least several hours.
