Caramel Chocolate Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    50 light caramels (14 oz.)
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 c. chocolate chips (6 oz.)
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk in a saucepan. Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Mix together cake mix, butter, nuts and remaining milk.
    Press half of the dough in pan and bake 6 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust and cover chips with caramel mixture.
    Crumble remaining dough on top.
    Bake 15 to 18 minutes in 350\u00b0.
    Refrigerate 30 minutes to set caramel layer.
