Four Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 (16 oz.) can each: green beans, wax beans, lima beans and kidney beans
    1 c. each: diced celery, onion rings and green pepper strips
Preparation
    Boil sugar, vinegar and oil for 5 minutes.
    Cool well. Thoroughly rinse all beans and drain.
    Mix with celery, onion and green pepper.
    Mix all in a ceramic or glass container (not metal).
    Pour cold dressing over all and refrigerate overnight. Will keep 1 month in refrigerator.
