Poppy Seed Bread With Green Onions And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1/3 c. cold butter
    1 c. grated Swiss cheese
    3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/3 c. chopped, green onions
    1 Tbsp. poppy seed
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    In the large bowl of the electric mixer, beat together first 5 ingredients until butter is the size of small peas.
    Beat in the next 4 ingredients until blended.
    Beat milk and egg, then add to the bowl, stirring until dry ingredients are just moistened.
    Do not overbeat.
    Pour into oiled 8 x 4-inch loaf pan and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until top is golden brown and a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
    (If top is browning too quickly, then tent loosely with foil.)
    Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan and continue cooling on a rack. Yields one loaf.
