Caramel Crackers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 boxes Ritz Bits crackers
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    3 c. pecans or peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour crackers and nuts on large baking sheet.
    Mix well.
    Over heat, mix margarine, sugar and Karo syrup.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla.
    Stir well.
    Pour over crackers and nuts.
    Toss until coated.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Pour on wax paper until cool.
    Break apart.
