Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. ground almonds
1 tsp. vanilla
18 candied cherries, cut in half
Preparation

Cream butter with sugar until fluffy.
Add everything except the cherries.
Mix well with your hands.
Take a heaping teaspoonful of dough and start to form into a ball; push in half a cherry and roll again into a perfect ball.
Bake on greased cookie sheet in slow oven, 325\u00b0, for 35 minutes.
While hot, roll in confectioners sugar.
