Old-Fashioned Butterscotch Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. maple or walnut flavoring
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Beat together brown sugar, butter and eggs.
Add flavorings. Mix together dry ingredients and add to the mixture.
Add nuts. Shape into loaves, wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Slice cookies very thin and bake at 350\u00b0 until light brown.
Do not overbake.
