Vera'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    2 c. cake flour, sifted 3 times
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 sq. chocolate, melted
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flour and milk a little at a time, starting and ending with flour, and beat well.
    Add melted chocolate, then add vinegar, salt and soda which have been dissolved together.
    Beat well, and bake in two 9-inch greased and floured pans, about 30 or 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Frost with favorite icing.
