Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. oleo
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    crust (for two 2-crust pies)
    apples
Preparation
    Roll out crust and cut in 12 squares.
    Put 1/2 apple with 1 teaspoon sugar in center of each apple; fold over.
    Bring remaining ingredients to boil, but don't cook.
    Pour over dumplings.
    Bake 45 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
