Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
    20 Ritz crackers
Preparation
    Bring to a boil the first 3 ingredients; boil 1 minute.
    Lay the Ritz crackers in liquid, but do not stir.
    Boil 2 minutes. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter.
    Cover with top crust; bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
