Lemon Crackers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. lemon oil
1 tsp. salt
1 oz. powdered ammonia
6 to 7 c. flour
Preparation

Stir ammonia in 1/4 cup warm water.
Allow to stand until softened.
Cream the shortening and sugar until well blended.
Add beaten eggs; blend well.
Add salt and lemon oil.
Add ammonia to milk and mix alternately with flour to first mixture until mixture is of proper consistency to handle.
Press out on well-floured board with hands.
Cut in squares or circles.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven until
light brown.
