Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
pinch of salt
Preparation

Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water over 1 cup quick oats and let stand 30 minutes.
Cream the butter and brown and white sugar together.
Add well beaten eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
Then add to oatmeal mixture.
Next add the flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
