Turtles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 c. white Karo
    1/2 lb. butter or oleo
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. Eagle Brand milk
    1 lb. pecans
Preparation
    Bring all except pecans to a boil and boil for 12 minutes. Stir constantly; put pecans in bottom of greased pan.
    Pour boiled mixture over pecans and let cool.
    Cut with scissors; then dip in melted chocolate.
    Makes 4 1/4 pounds candy.
