Ingredients

3 Tbsp. sifted flour
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt (if using all-purpose flour)
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. milk, scalded
1 baked (8-inch) pie shell
Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan.
Stir in milk gradually.
Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Pour into pie shell.
Cook until serving time.
