Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 boxes light brown sugar
    1 pt. whipping cream
    2 sticks butter (not margarine)
Preparation
    Cream 1 1/2 boxes of sugar with butter.
    Add 3/4 cup of whipping cream.
    Bring to a rolling boil.
    Boil two minutes. Place in sink of cold water.
    Beat to desired thickness.
    Spread on favorite cake layers.
