*French Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. cream cheese
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Spread cream cheese, blended with sufficient cream to soften, over the bottom of a cooled, baked pie shell.
    Place half of the berries in cheese coated pie shell.
    Mash remaining berries until juice is well extracted.
    Bring to boiling point and slowly stir in sugar and cornstarch, which have been mixed together.
    Cook slowly for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cool and pour over uncooked berries in baked 9-inch pie shell.
    Serve with whipping cream.
