Finnish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
3/4 c. sour cream
3 apples
2 Tbsp. sugar, mixed with 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs.
Resift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to batter alternately with sour cream.
Mix until batter is velvety and pour into well-greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Insert apples, rounded edge up.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake at 350\u00b0
for 30 to 35 minutes.
